PRELUDE/ENTRANCE/LIFE OF THE CHURCH
*OPENING SONG
"Up from the Grave He Arose" UMH 322
*CALL TO WORSHIP
Liturgist: Early in the morning, when the world was still dark, the women came to the tomb.
People: They came with grief, but they found glory. They came expecting death, but encountered life.
Liturgist: “Do not be afraid,” the angel proclaimed. “He is not here—He has been raised.”
People: Our fear gives way to joy, our sorrow to celebration, our doubt to living hope.
Liturgist: Christ meets us on the road, calling us by name, sending us to share the good news.
People: We worship the Risen Lord, the One who turns mourning into dancing and death into everlasting life.
All: Alleluia! Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!

*Opening Prayer
God of dawn and new beginnings, on this holy morning you roll away the stones that weigh us down and speak life where we expected only silence. As you met the women at the tomb with courage and joy, meet us now with your living presence. Drive out our fear, awaken our faith, and fill us with the good news that Christ is risen. Let your resurrection power renew our hearts, reshape our hopes, and send us forth as witnesses to your grace. In the name of the Risen Lord, Amen.
